Vedic Mathematics
Vedic Mathematics is an ancient system of mathematics which has leaped to the forefront of Indigenous Knowledge Systems (IKS), a field of study recognised by modern science and educational forums worldwide. The system is developed on organic learning mechanisms and therefore each method integrates other methods and builds into a system that is capable of addressing a broad spectrum of mathematical applications. Students of Vishwa Shakti, having attended and presented many seminars and courses on this interesting and natural form of mathematics, have now embarked on sharing it with other students via classes and quarterly publications in our magazine. Sharing this knowledge was not only helpful to those receiving the information but also to its teachers as the more they taught the better they grasped all aspects within the system and discovered still more of its applications and methods. Many schools have now allowed students to use these methods in their classroom as credible methods of solving mathematical problems. This division of Vishwa Shakti continues to provide material and resources to students with the aim of developing their logical thinking and cognitive abilities within a natural framework thus expanding their perspective beyond a one dimensional view on solving complex problems.
